Washington D.C. Adds New Economic Nexus Requirements

Washington D.C. joined the list of states that have new rules governing sales tax that affects wineries. Effective retroactively January 1st, the economic nexus for out-of-state or online retailers who ship into Washington D.C. designates that a company with a gross revenue exceeding $100,000 or 200 or more separate transactions will be required to register and remit sales tax monthly.
